LITERARY TRANSLATION

Some colleagues consider literary translation the crown jewel of our profession. Who am I to argue? It’s certainly a realized dream of mine.


The publication of Scar also meant I graduated from Dalkey Archive Press’ past Applied Literary Translation program in collaboration with the University of Houston Victoria. It was a sincere honor to render Spanish author Sara Mesa’s sixth published novel into English. This was also the first of her enthralling works to be translated into this language, and it includes a translator's prologue.
